I have posted on hi compression hi swirl pistons, But, my Haynes book sez the compression in my '80 2.8 liter is already 9.6:1. This seems high on that old unleaded gas they had in 1980. Going tg 10.6:1 seems excessive.
Is 9.6:1 right? Anyone else try higher compression in some way (crank or pistons or heads), and, how did it work?
Since I have cyl scuffing due to someone monkeying with my car when I was away, Ill have to at least hone the cyls. Nows the time for new pistons.
