Also earlier a - body cars uses the same power antenna mast and motor as well as the century . There was a write up about this and using a early corvette mast replacement for our cars . David (turbokinetics ) had a you tube video on it that is very helpful .

I seen that, I had a thread on using a steel cable, which unfortunatly in mine now gets jammed up when almost fully extending. I already tried a product similar to the one david used, problem is its cheap material, the one I got anyways. A similar one I installed only lasted about 8 months and broke. My antenna mast is perfectly straight too.

Maybe time to open up the casing and see what's going on inside

Ive already had it open 3x. Once to fix the original cable then it broke. Second time to put in the replacement like David had. Lasted 8 months and plastic cable broke. Lasted a while with the steel cable, but since it is basically like a twisted rope i think it got water in it this winter froze and bound up now its kinked.

I might just unplug it and get q aftermarket windshield antenna
