Default 93 Olds Ciera 3.3L + tips on changing thermostat

I would like to change thermostatů.believe it is stuck open.

Found the housing tucked under the Throttle Body. Exhaust pipe under air filter housing make things tight.

My inclination is to remove Throttle body for easier access to thermostat housing.

My first time performing this job on this vehicle. Otherwise competent.

Suggestions, tips, or previous threads on this ?

    Thanks.

I've done it with and without removing anything, but it definitely easier to slide the throttle body off. You may even be able to reuse the gasket.

Make sure you buy an OEM or 'high accuracy' thermostat. Cheap thermostats are very inconsistent.

I did this a few times on my century 3.3. Used a 1/4 drive with long extension and universal under crossover for bolt on lower right. Easier to get at bolt on left
