Well the tank has been full for the last few tests. I've had the fuel rail off several times already to change injectors, so that is where the air would be coming from although I have been purging it.

I will try to confirm a problem with the fuel pressure gauge next time I am able.

After this test drive the fuel pressure seemed to hold fine and there was no sputtering. I suspect it was air in the fuel lines. The muffler fell off.

It goes through 1/4qt of oil every time it goes on the road. Oil collects on the valve cover under the breather tube so I'm pretty sure it's the bad cylinder.
