1991 Olds Ciera 3.3 intake gaskets are leaking. Are the intake bolts re useable? I'm not finding anything online for them.

Yes, completely conventional. I did put thread locker on mine, as I have found everything on the engine originally assembled with it.

This will take you to all the pics of the job on our '92. Not a bad job at all.

I have the tools and garage to do it, car has been parked for about a year and occasionally started. Just lazy. Haha
You can absolutely reuse them regardless, and ARP specifically you can virtually always reuse. I tend to toss torqued fasteners at overhaul - but not for an intake swap.
The '92 FSM says "tighten manifold bolts TWICE to 10 N-m (89 lb.in.)".

Jerry thanks so much. I forgot I had a 91gm service manual. Now if I can just find it. I bought a new house in Oct and don't know if I unpacked it. What section is this?
Tighten twice means just snug them in sequence then go to the suggested torque setting?
I think you are actually supposed to do it at prescribed torque twice. The manifold 'settles' into place with the lousy, flexible plastic gaskets.

I twisted them finger tight with a socket after putting dabs of RTV in the corners. Then torqued in sequence 2x. Guess we'll find out in a couple days when my other parts come and I finish.
I would think they will be fine. It's an exceptionally simplistic design, but the RTV in the corners is important, so I have learned. The factory was deficient in the corners with the amount of RTV, according to one of our knowledgeable members.

I'm just paranoid because this is the first time doing this ha. I did find a few intake bolts weren't even really tight when I pulled it. Seemed weird to be that loose.
I also found 2 bolts almost all the way out on the mount on the back of the engine/intake that the metal support rod from the power steering pump bolts to.
I'd hate to think a mechanic tampered with my car over the years.

Those look familiar!
I had snugged ours up over the years as it weeped. I think the plastic shrinks much like the gaskets in the 3100/3400.

thanks for the comments, I had the same doubts but I already have a clearer mind
