I have a four-door '87 Celebrity. I can find no way to access the tail light bulbs. There are no fasteners inside the trunk. How was this designed with no access except for breaking into the tail light lenses from the outside?

Pull back the trunk padding and you should find some nuts or thumbscrews. The assembly comes out then you can get to the bulbs.
The padding never went across this area, it is a stock original car. It is smooth fibreglas with no fasteners. This has me completely baffled! Thanks for your advice though.
Tomorrow I?ll clear the snow off mine and see what?s in the trunk. I don?t drive it in winter.
Thanks for your efforts.
I think I found the fasteners. There are three long screws with nuts on them on each side of the panel over the tail light area. Thanks for all your help. Long live the Celebrity!
Glad you found them. So did I and I?m trying to catch my breath after snow blowing, hauling in pellets, and digging the snow off the car. Yes the studs with nuts are only in the far corners of the car, holding the outside of the tail light. I saw 2 per side but my glasses were foggy. The inner part of the tail light is held in by being tucked under the center section with the license plate.
You are exactly right. Thanks for braving that weather! I took off all the nuts on both sides, but was only one of them on each side that fastened the tail light assembly. So glad to finally figure this out. You would think this info would have been in the Owner Manual. Thanks for all your help.
